By accessing or using the USA Political Instability Index (the "Toolset"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Toolset.

1. Description of Service

The USA Political Instability Index is a free, informational research toolset that aggregates publicly available data to produce composite instability scores for the United States. It is provided for educational, research, and informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, legal, or political advice.

2. Acceptable Use

You may access and use the Toolset for personal, academic, or internal research purposes. You may not:

(a) Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Toolset without written permission;
(b) Redistribute, resell, or represent the index scores or methodology as your own work;
(c) Use the Toolset in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
(d) Attempt to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Toolset's infrastructure.

Citation and fair-use referencing with attribution to the USA Political Instability Index is permitted and encouraged.

3. Intellectual Property

The index methodology, composite scoring framework, weighting system, and all original content on this site are the intellectual property of the USA Political Instability Index and its creators. Underlying data is sourced from third parties (FRED, Google Trends, metalpriceapi.com, Yahoo Finance) and remains subject to their respective terms.

4. No Warranty

The Toolset is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Toolset will be available at all times or that data will be free from errors or delays.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creators and operators of the USA Political Instability Index shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Toolset, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Third-Party Data Sources

The Toolset incorporates data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), Google Trends, metalpriceapi.com, and Yahoo Finance. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but are not responsible for errors, revisions, or outages in third-party data. Use of third-party data through this Toolset does not grant you any rights beyond those provided under the third parties' own terms.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Toolset after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted in the site's Updates section.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal or state courts of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
